Product Introduction
The working principle of a vacuum tube non-pressurized solar water heater is primarily based on the thermosiphon effect and natural circulation.
Heating Process
When sunlight strikes the vacuum tube, the solar radiation passes through the outer tube and is efficiently absorbed by the selective absorption coating on the outer surface of the inner tube (solar absorptivity ≥ 0.92, thermal emissivity ≤ 0.09 at 80°C). The absorbed solar energy is converted into heat, warming the water inside the vacuum tube. Due to the vacuum layer, heat loss through conduction or convection is almost entirely prevented, allowing the heat to be transferred only to the water inside the tube.
Natural Circulation
As the heated water warms up, its density decreases, causing it to rise into the storage tank. Meanwhile, cooler, denser water sinks from the tank to the bottom of the vacuum tubes. This continuous cycle of cold water sinking and hot water rising gradually raises the temperature of the water in the entire storage tank.
